In my virtual life I'm up to build embodied life-like
artificial systems, systems that grow, act, think, and feel... tricky business though... I'm the father of the babybot,
a baby humanoid robot (still baby after 5 years!) and in the process of
creating the secondborn iCub. I'm fond of the beauty
of C++ coding... isn't programming an art?
In "real life" my name is
Giorgio Metta, I'm assistant professor at LIRA-Lab, University of Genova.
LIRA-Lab is
within the Department of Communication, Computer and Systems Science (DIST) at the University
of Genoa.
I am also Senior Researcher at
the Robotics, Brain and Cognitive Sciences department at the
Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa.
Sometime in the past, for
about 20 months, I was in Massachusetts at the AI-Lab
at MIT having a lot of fun within the Humanoid
Robotics Group - my work at MIT click

"Pasa" is a nickname, to discover its origin click here.

Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things,
because we're curious... and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
